The Shelf Theory Inc. Lifetime Warranty covers all custom-made slide-out shelves manufactured and installed by our team. Your shelves are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for as long as you own your home.
The Shelf Theory Warranty
All custom-made slide-out shelves manufactured and installed by Shelf Theory Employees are covered under our lifetime warranty. This warranty applies to the original purchaser of the product. Shelf Theory products are custom made in Phoenix, Arizona using only new materials of the highest quality.
The ball bearing slides and soft close ball bearing slides are warrantied to hold a maximum carrying capacity of 100lbs including the shelf itself. This capacity is a static rating when the shelves are fully extended.
Shelf Theory Inc. warrants the slide-out shelves you have purchased to be free from defects in materials or workmanship under normal use and will replace any defective product or part without any charges so long as the warranty is valid.

What does the Shelf Theory warranty cover?
Our lifetime warranty covers all custom-made slide-out shelves manufactured and installed by Shelf Theory employees. This includes defects in materials or workmanship under normal use. The ball bearing slides and soft close slides are warrantied to hold a maximum carrying capacity of 100 lbs including the shelf itself.
What voids the warranty?
The warranty is voided if harsh conditions, chemicals, or lubricants are used on the shelves. It is also voided if the shelves are tampered with, uninstalled, reinstalled, painted, cut, or modified by anyone other than Shelf Theory personnel. Accidents or Acts of God (flood, fire, falling objects) are not covered.
How do I file a warranty claim?
Contact us by phone at (602) 799-9626 or email info@shelftheory.com. Provide a description of the issue and, if possible, photos of the damage. We will assess the issue, schedule a visit, and determine if the repair is covered.
Are warranty repairs free?
Yes — if the repair is covered by the warranty. There are no charges for parts, labor, or travel. Covered repairs are completely free for as long as you own your home and the warranty is valid.
If my repair is not covered, what are the costs?
There is a $75 trip charge. Slide replacements are $20–$30 per shelf depending on hardware type. Full shelf rebuilds or replacements are $89.99–$109.99 per shelf. Remove-and-reinstall is $20 per shelf if needed.
